The Cordoba artist Fernando García Herrera has won the International Painting Contest called by the Spanish Legion to celebrate its centenary. He has succeeded with “Continuum”, a work in which he wants to symbolize the continuity of this elite unit.

In the foreground it shows a current legionnaire ready for work, while in the lower area it mixes this image with the representation, now without colors and as if simulating the black and white of four ancient legionaries, with the weapons and the characteristic uniform. the work a flag of Spain with the Legion’s shield and two weapons, one from each time, with which we want to symbolize the continuity, as the title of the work suggests, between the pioneers of this unit and those who now belong to it .
